In Matthew 24, we read:

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

The recent cover of Newsweek featuring Barack Obama prior to his second inauguration may seem to many to be a semi-harmless, a play on words that is intended to have a double meaning and promote the controversial style that has been a trademark of Newsweek covers for years. The President has never claimed to be the second coming of Yeshua, but many have. It’s a discouraging trend, but it’s only the tip of the iceberg.

In Matthew 24, Yeshua discusses the signs that will mark the season of His return. He mentions the rise of false Christs three times in these passages and did not mention any of the other signs more than once. Clearly, it’s an important sign. Today, there are more and more “messiahs” popping up all around the world. In the video below, Christ in Prophecy examines the rise.

Be aware and do not be swayed. To many of us, it’s very clear that these charlatans are fake, but don’t underestimate the cleverness of Satan. One will appear who will convince the masses that he is the true Christ. Arm yourself with the Bible and help others see the truth.
